Swoje pierwsze kroki w muzycznym świecie Kane stawiał w zespołach The Little Flames oraz The Rascals. Supportując z tym drugim w 2007 Arctic Monkeys złapał świetny kontakt z Alexem Turnerem, z którym szybko zaczęli wspólnie komponować. Owocem tych działań był wydany w 2008 roku debiutancki album The Last Shadow Puppets “The Age of the Understatement”, który ekspresowo podbił brytyjską listę przebojów. Podobnie było z drugim albumem duetu - “Everything You Have Come to Expect” (2016). 


W 2009 roku Miles postawił na karierę solową. Od tego momentu wydał 5 świetnie przyjętych na Wyspach krążków, a ostatni z nich, “One Man Band”, ukazał się w sierpniu zeszłego roku. Kane to bez wątpienia jedna z najważniejszych osobowości w brytyjskiej muzyce gitarowej XXI wieku i ciężko by było inaczej, skoro jego piosenki tętnią przebojowością, a momentów do singalongów jest w nich co niemiara.
